Hello!
I’m Judy
I was born in Ottawa, now live in the beautiful Okanagan I am a total foodie, yogini, and I love to travel the world. I am a certifiable dog mom, and ultimate nerd, I love to learn.
I am a registered Acupuncturist, and have been practicing, teaching, and speaking on Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Nutrition Coaching and Yoga for over 25 years.
How Did I Get Started in This Field?
I knew this was my calling when I decided to enter Chinese Medicine instead of pursuing my Medical Doctorate.
Being the daughter of a Chiropractor/ Naturopath and Registered Nurse, I’ve been the guinea pig for most all things health related my whole life. Whether I have eaten it, drunk it, or been rubbed down by it… baked, boiled or fermented it… I’ve learned the healing nature of life.
A natural healing essence that lives beyond anything verbal.
After a summer studying acupuncture in Sri Lanka, where I didn’t speak the language I learned the power of healing by watching people’s energy shift for the better. With compassion and non-verbal communication.
Then, it was only through my personal experience that I found the medical systems were either one way or the other. And the only way I actually healed was by blending the modalities.
So as I stepped into my professional career, I accepted the challenge to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western Medicines.
We are all masterpieces that need to be created and curated individually.
Through all of my education I have learned, we could all benefit from a blended form of healing modalities and each person is seen as a unique system. This is how The Art of Good Health Coaching came about.
I spent 5 years attaining a Biology and Biochemistry degree, 3++ years studying for a Traditional Chinese Medicine Degree, I continued to learn many forms of acupuncture including and studying a number of other Western medical practices. All this to help with a whole body multi-disciplinary approach.
The bottom line is I am motivated to help people create their own canvas of health.
